Paleo Apple Crisp


Ingredients:

4 apples of your choice

1 lemon, juiced, set aside lemon to grate zest

2 tablespoons of ghee or grasped butter melted

1 tablespoon of organic vanilla

1 teaspoon of nutmeg

2 teaspoons of cinnamon

1 pinch of salt

(feel free to enhance with nuts including almond slivers or walnuts)

Crip Ingredients:

1 cup of almond flour

1/4 cup of coconut flour

1 tablespoon of cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves

2 tablespoons of coconut oil melted

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Slice apples to the thickness you would for apple pie (I leave the skin on for the nutrients)

Toss with melted ghee, vanilla, and dry ingredients

Place into 9X13 sprayed with organic cooking spray

Mix dry crisp ingredients

Melt coconut oil

Mix in creating a flake

Top apples

You can drizzle with 1 tablespoon of local and organic honey if you prefer a bit sweeter.

Bake for 60 minutes at 350 or until golden brown.
